Hi, I’m Els.
My agency, EVE, was born from my own experiences with dating, men, and everything that comes with it. I’m now happily together with the love of my life, but before that, I dated a lot — and often.
When I had just become single, I actually found the apps quite entertaining. I signed up for Tinder, Happn, Bumble, Inner Circle, and Hinge. It was during the time of Corona and lockdowns, and after work I would spend hours scrolling and swiping on the couch. I wasn’t necessarily looking for a relationship, but I was looking for fun dates and enjoyable company. And of course, having so many options is exciting. But what I discovered is that not every man is as honest — or as current — as his profile suggests.
Sometimes, the person I met turned out to be thirty kilos heavier than in his photos. Or the man in question turned out to be socially quite awkward, inexperienced, ten years older than in his latest photos, a kleptomaniac, simply incredibly dull, spoke with an alarming amount of saliva flying around, or even wore long underwear in the middle of summer. I’ve truly seen it all.
And yes, many dates were actually a lot of fun. I made friends along the way and even met my current partner through dating. But what stayed with me most is that dating apps and dating in general take an enormous amount of time, while often not delivering what you’re truly looking for.
I know it can be done differently.
Through years of dating experience — eventually I started to see it more as a hobby than anything else — I learned exactly what gives women energy. Which men make you feel happy, desired, feminine, relaxed, excited. The kind of men you can laugh with, connect with, and spend an unforgettable evening with.
